Learning a new routine can be tricky, but this printout can help all ages of the family to develop a positive routine of prayer, whilst also learning about the fruit of the Spirit, how to love God’s way and our spiritual armour.
As you will see in the acompanying note, we encourage the childs’ adults to participate in this routine WITH their child whenever possible. This time allows them to share and pray together, discuss faith, and reflect on the things God has done, as well as the challenges faced. By doing this, we create opportunities for children to see faith in real life, not just the polished version they might imagine. It also opens the door for them to talk about their own lives and any struggles they may have.
This routine is NOT a way to test children, it is not a memory verse challenge, nor is it a “how well did you behave today” check! …it is a conversation starter, a faith grower, a window opener!
To use the resource, print and fold the paper in half. You can either glue it together or laminate it for durability, if you’re able. Then, choose a spot to stick the routine next to the bed.
