This is a fun way to start a session where you’re talking about some of the “greats” in the Bible – Sampson the strongest man, Joseph held the record for the most amount of dreams interpreted, Paul holding the record for the longest sermon!
In your group you can start your own Guinness Book of Records. Have the children / families try to set records for things such as:
- Most jumping jacks
- Jumps in a skipping rope
- Most amount of books balanced on your head
- Most hula-hoop crisps on one finger
The list can go on for as long as you need to! As you work through the challenges you can bring out several points – how God gives us each a unique set of talents, that it’s always about being the best but simply about using what we have to help others etc etc
