A creative prayer to lead families in to encourage them to remember to pray for specific situations and / or people.
Based around the theme of Hope this Family service is aimed to be used at Advent but could be adapted for other times when Hope is needed by your church community. We are all on journeys. And when we get tired, God is there to give us strength and courage to keep going. When the angel appeared to Mary, it started her on a very special journey that we are invited to remember now.
This reflective prayer considers how Mary felt when the angel visited her and encourages us to take courage when life is scary. It can be used as part of a family service.
A reflection using the changing leaves of Autumn, encouraging us to consider how change impact us and our relationship with God.
These prayers are based on the theme of ‘letting go’ of what keeps us from God and keeping our hearts focussed on Him. They fit roughly with Mark 7: 1-8, 14, 15, 21-23 (this week’s gospel reading), but could easily stand alone.
